Having your engagement photo taken can be a bit daunting, particularly if you haven’t spent much time in front of the camera, but Kira made my fiance and I both feel so at ease. We were nervous going into our engagement photo shoot since the only professional photos we had ever had taken were of the awkward school photographer variety. However, we had no reason to be nervous as Kira put us at ease immediately. “I recently hired Kira to take some portraits for me. I was actually dreading this since I don’t consider myself photogenic. By the time I received the photos, I was pretty blown away. I didn’t know I could look so comfortable in front of camera.
At the shoot, Kira noticed I was a little nervous and asked me what could be done to make me more comfortable. We played music, told jokes, laughed, played some music. It actually became really fun!
Prior to the session, she had suggested a few pieces of clothing, which I brought and was patient as I changed between sessions. We worked indoors+outdoors and she worked masterfully with the light to really highlight me and bring out different energies through her shots.
